~ Diane Adam, Hunger Outreach Coordinator
While we are all aware of the many needs of people in King County, take a moment to consider the many people who have received nutritious food because of your contributions. The University UCC congregation reaches out every month — offering food and support to those in need in Seattle and King County.
Hunger Outreach, a part of Love & Justice Ministry, is thankful for the support of our congregation through:
All of your contributions are used to purchase groceries for monthly food packing for Emergency Feeding Program. An extra $200 a month purchases “special diet” foods such as: baby food, “no cook” food for homeless, and food for diabetics. Another $300 a month is sent to North Helpline Emergency Services & Food Bank to help purchase bulk-foods for the food banks at Lake City and Bitter Lake.
