We have been honored to spend the last six weeks with you reflecting upon and celebrating the many ways that God is still speaking through our Church. In these times of grave concern and injustice, this year’s Pledge Campaign invited us to consider God calling us to a place of passionate gratitude.
Our theme of “Passionate Gratitude” asked us to reflect on the many ways in which our church embodies passionate gratitude and encourages us to follow God’s call. We’re grateful for all who considered the many ways in which a financial pledge can further our shared goals.
We’re also grateful for all who participated in or attended our Good Works Bazaar after worship on October 21. Together we enjoyed a chili cook-off, learned about the ways our church community continues to show God is still speaking, had good conversations with representatives from various ministries, and discovered ways to become more inspired and involved in the life of our church.
As of Tuesday, November 14, we have received 338 pledges totaling $1,092,969 toward our goal of $1,225,000. What an amazing commitment to our community and this ministry!
Our congregation voted on a budget on Sunday, November 18. The budget does project additional pledges for our 2019 ministry. If you want to pledge and have not, please know that all pledges are always welcome and will be faithfully implemented for ministry. Pledge cards remain available in the Church office, or you can pledge online at universityucc.org/pledge
Thank you for your commitment and your generosity!
