~ Leadership Parish Relations Committee
UCUCC is in a time of transition, and transitions can bring up big emotions. That’s why we, the members of the Leadership Parish Relations Committee (LPRC), thought now would be a fitting time to remind church members and friends just exactly what the LPRC does.
Essentially a sounding board, LPRC assists the church in maintaining healthy relationships between the leadership team (Catherine Foote, David Anderson, Amy Roon, Todd Smiedendorf) and members of the congregation. Relationships is the key word, for LPRC does not concern itself with job performance or theological matters. Rather, LPRC is who you call if you feel your relationship with one of the church leaders could use some help. Congregants can call any one of our team, and we will listen, help identify potential courses of action, and help arrange a meeting if necessary to bring the parties together. For their part, our pastors/leaders use our monthly meetings to raise questions and concerns that might affect their relationship with the congregation. All is strictly confidential.
We’re not mediators, advocates, or therapists. We are simply listeners, occasional advisors—and fellow travelers. And we’re available at the emails below.
