Immigrant Justice Action Team presents: David Lynch shares from The Migration Project
Sep 15, at 7:00 in the Sanctuary
Many of us may have wished we could travel to the Mexican/USA border to bear witness to what is occurring during the horrific crisis at our common border. And yet the obligations of our daily lives may interfere with that desire.
We can vicariously share the experiences of photographer and author David Lynch when he provides a program on Sunday September 15 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. His program will feature photographs and stories from his three most recent trips to Mexico, beginning in late 2018.
To quote David,
“thousands of people from Central America have walked away from their homes, some desperately seeking asylum and safety in the US, others searching for economic opportunity. Together they march toward an uncertain future.”
His presentation will be based on his recently published book, Before the Border, the Caravan Series, A Work in Progress from the Migration Project. His book, as well as featured photographs, will be available for purchase before and after the program.
The program will be held in the sanctuary of University Congregational United Church of Christ located at the corner of 45th and 16th NE in Seattle. Free parking is available directly opposite the church entrance.
