With the current reality that we cannot gather in large groups, the Seabeck Planning Committee has begun figuring out how to adapt our camp traditions to a virtual format.
We think it may be a very important time for our church to come together in the midst of this year of change and uncertainty. We invite you to save the date and plan to join us in this new version of camp.
Our speaker Professor David Roon will offer the adult program and we are planning to have online versions of many of our favorite traditions (like the talent show, morning devotions, the women’s song circle, cabin graces, and campfire singing!) We are also planning activities for kids and youth, and ways for campers to connect for those deeper discussions we often have at camp.
We welcome your creative ideas and especially your reminders of your favorite parts of our Seabeck camp and how we can continue them as best we are able. We will also want you to promote the event and make sure that everyone connected with the church knows about it and can join in.
A new registration process will be announced soon so watch for details about how to register for virtual Seabeck in the next few weeks. All previously completed registrations are being held inside the church. We will return any prior payments as needed once we are able to access them. We will be encouraging donations to support the conference center as they are deeply impacted by not being able to host large groups this year.
If you have any questions about camp this year, please contact Jessie McAbee or Gina Massoni—they would be glad to talk with you. You can look them up in the church directory or email gro.ccuytisrevinu@kcebaes
