Seabeck 2019 is just around the corner!
The Seabeck Committee is busily planning our week at Seabeck, July 7-12. If you are going to Seabeck, you may be asking yourself, what can I do to help?
We would love your help!
We are seeking a snack coordinator, who can help cabins prepare the evening snack. We will be lining up cabin leaders, who can help orient newcomers and organize a grace. If you have a craft, activity, or sport to share, let us know, so we can get it on the schedule! We will need leaders and musicians for morning devotions and evening vespers. Contact us at gro.ccuytisrevinu@kcebaes to sign up or share your ideas!
Even if you’re not going to Seabeck this year, you can still help make it happen for others with a donation to help provide scholarships. Leave a check in the church office. We appreciate your support in making Seabeck as inclusive as possible.
News from the Conference Center
While the best things about Seabeck stay the same, you may also be wondering what’s new at Seabeck this year. A new patio in front of the Inn awaits us. I am excited to check out the new haiku trail.
Seabeck has a key amnesty program, so if you have any Seabeck keys floating around at home, bring them to Seabeck, and all will be forgiven. I know this has definitely happened to me before.
2019 Book Discussion
Don’t forget to prepare for the book discussion led by Beth Bartholomew. The book is The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew – Three Women Search for Understanding by Ranya Idiby. A copy can be found in the church library.
