“How do you get things moving around here?”
Our Love and Justice Outreach Ministry is finalizing its 2019 handbook to help you join or even organize Action Teams in the church. It is a “How to / DIY” manual to guide folks step-by-step through the process of connecting and organizing for ministry and action in the wider world. The Manual contains sections on vision, organization, and funding for our work together. (The manual is up. Find it >> here)
- If you care about climate change and environmental justice, you can join the Sacred Earth Matters group. They are a vibrant team, offering education and action opportunities for us all, including this month’s Lecture with Jim Antall described elsewhere in this newsletter.
- If you want to be more active with anti-racism work, our Racial Justice Action Team has many offerings.
- The Mwanzo group offers a connection with Rabour Village in Kenya, and an international perspective on Love and Justice.
The new handbook has the complete list of Action Teams and their contacts. There is a place for you in our work together.
Around mid-February, you can pick up a copy of the Handbook in the church office or access it from our church website at Universityucc.org. Or reach out to me, the Leadership Team Liaison for Love and Justice, at gro.ccuytisrevinu@etoofc.
